things. Although its history indicates success, it has had problems in recent months. In addition to economics, the industry and BAE in particular has been affected by socio-cultural, technological and
competitive factors. First, what type of company is BAE exactly and where does it stand in the industry? It should be noted that the Economist dubs BAE as a
"global defense giant" ("After the," 2003, p.59). While that is the case now, it is largely a British firm but has expanded a great deal in recent months. While it

everything. Suddenly, the company had to answer to stock holders. Firms going through such a transition certainly feel the difference. One does see a change in BAE since this occurrence.
