websites -- business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C). Though these sites can be found on the Internet, thats
pretty much the sum of the similarities. B2Bs and B2Cs serve two totally different markets, and as such, are subject to fairly different regulations and ethics when it comes to
how they operate. Before we closely examine ethical behavior, regulations and other issues pertaining to these sites, lets take some time to
define what they are (and what their markets are). B2B websites are set up strictly for business to business. The markets are
other businesses (rather than the casual consumer). As such, business needs are going to be different (and payment options differing as well). B2B sites are set up to connect businesses
electronically (Comerford, 2001). B2Bs also bring together otherwise competing firms to build electronic exchanges -- which are software systems enabling buyers and sellers to purchase goods (and sometimes services) through
use of industry-wide computer systems (Comerford, 2001). B2B sites allow an increased efficiency between businesses, and, according to some experts, a better free market economy, leading to increased efficiency promotions
(Comerford, 2001). B2C websites, however, cater to the consumer (and generally sell consumer goods and services). As such, theyre more eye appealing
