and American military focus depended on the use of air attacks and air operations as a means of complementing ground troops. It can also be argued that the end
of World War II, which many believe occurred as a result of the bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945 was the crowning glory on the use of
aviation strategies to maintain military force and bring a conclusion to the war. In order to consider the impact that aviation strategies had on the overall picture of
World War II, it is necessary to reflect upon the training, strategic positioning and the overall perspectives on German bombers, American fighters and Japanese Kamikazes as a means of relating
the specifics of the military strategic process. By evaluating these processes, it is possible to gain insight into the history, development and the overall outcomes of the use of
aviation in World War II.
