as simple as being bullied on the playground but it is more likely there is trauma at home with patents fighting, announcing they are getting divorced or at worst, Ali
has been molested or abused. Average and high-achievement students do not suddenly and abruptly drop their grades and withdraw unless something traumatic has happened to them so the only theories
that matter are pediatric therapeutic theories. First proposed by Heider in 1958, attribution theory is about how an individuals interpretation of events in their life relates to their thinking
and behavior (Kearsley, 2008). The theory assumes that people naturally try to determine why other people do certain things, which is phrased as the "attributed causes to behavior" (Kearsley, 2008).
To use this theory, the observer follows a three-step process: 1) the behavior must observe the behavior, 2) the person must believe the other person deliberately did the behavior, and
3) the observer must determine if the person was forced or coerced into doing that behavior or not (Kearsley, 2008). If coercion was involved, the attribute would be the situation,
if not, the attribute would be the person doing the behavior. When the behavior involves achievement, the author reports the factors that most often affect achievement attributes are "ability, effort,
