youth is separation from a parent through the act of divorce. Children and youth are greatly impacted in all areas of life when their parents separate and/or divorce: psychologically, emotionally
and often physically. There has been and continues to be a growing debate and controversy regarding the effects of divorce on a
childs or adolescents mental state and their ability to develop positive and solid relationships in their future lives. As one studies the elements of the debate, one psychological theory must
