look at the subject of human resource management and the apparently increasing interest in terms of the importance of context in the way that studies take place and how context
or environment may effect the way that HRM takes place. The research undertaken by the authors and the resulting article can be considered in terms of a SWOT analysis.
The strengths of the research are seen in the scope and scale of the review of empirical literature that has taken place, using theories from different disciplines, such as psychology,
sociology and economics (Jackson and Schuler, 1995). There is general agreement by most theorists that Human Resource Management is complex with many interdependent elements, and many different theories and approaches
being interdependent in the way that they are applied (Huczynski and Buchanan, 2007). Reviewing theories such as open systems theory, where the organizations are not seen as separate from
their environments, but are interactive with focus on the flows and relationships rather than the formal structures, and many others as well as looking at the external influences that impact
on culture the results in an integrative model of HRM where there are assumed to be inherent and interdependent links between processes and context, with the needs and processes being
prioritised which leads to the development of organizational policies and strategies (Jackson and Schuler, 1995). The mode with three second outlines potential types of influencing phenomena which are seen at
the left hind side of the model in the first box, this leads into the second box which HRM process which lead to the output at social, organizational and individual
