read (Kotler and Keller, 2008). They will also need to contain information this is engaging and seen as relevant, otherwise they will not be read and the message will not
be heard (Kotler and Keller, 2008). Example of a supportively fit is the leaflet has been produced by the American Academy of Pediatrics, New York Chapter 2. This leaflet
is primarily aimed at expectant mothers, with the aim of encouraging them to breast-feed their babies. The leaflet is short and easy to read, presented in soothing, safe colors with
clear text and some images that expectant mothers may find appealing. Looking at the leaflet it is possible to assess its potential by considering different characteristics which may impact on
the way in which educational leaflets will be effective. The leaflet is relatively short, presented as a horizontal A4 sheet of paper with two folds, so that the leaflet is
one third A4 and has three panels which open. The front of the leaflet has a title "Nursing Your Newborn". This is in a very clear text, against a plain
background1, with text written in blue making it very easy to read. This also helps the target audience identify a leaflet that is intended for their benefit; it is new
mothers that will have newborn. However, to clarify this there is also an image of a new mother kissing the nose of her newborn baby.
