good fit with the consumer demands and the product they offer, as well as a growing market. To estimate any pull factor the market conditions within a country have to
be assessed. In the example posed by the student there is the need to consider Saudi Arabia as a potential market, and two nearby countries. Unfortunately as there is not
products mentioned the analysis will be generic so that this can be applied to a range of products. Saudi Arabia is seen by many companies as an ideal country
to begin exports to, or operations within. In recent events, such as the Gulf war, despite some strained relationships it appears that the Saudis are one of the most friendly
countries in the area towards western countries. Many western shops are already in the area, such as Marks and Spencers, and the attitude is one of acceptance of many consumer
goods. However, this is a very different environment compared to other western countries and as such needs to be considered carefully before entering the market. Saudi Arabia is not a
democracy and does not have any political parties or elections. The country is ruled by a monarchy, and despite the placement of courts of justice and the use of committees,
the monarch has the ability to exercise absolute power. The attitudes within he countries reflect these arrangements, as such the aspect of democratic leadership in the workplace is unusual, and
