Crocs primary core competence is that it can provide customers with what they need, when they need it and at prices they can afford. The company has arranged its
supply chain and internal operations to suit the needs of the customer first, thereby becoming a valued supplier to retailers of all sizes. The company encourages large retailers to
deal with it as large retailers do - sending orders electronically and receiving large quantities shipped directly from factories to large retailers distribution centers - while also courting the business
of the small retailers who helped build the brand, thereby cementing smaller retailers loyalty to Crocs and its products. A talent possessed by
Crocs senior management also can be listed as a core competence. The companys President understands the nature of customer acceptance and the need to take advantage of trends while
they are still operable. Coming from an electronics background where products and technology change quickly to make current products obsolete, Snyder understood the need for placing product with customers
