a problem where the venue simply does not have enough money. The solution is always to raise taxes or cut spending. After all, it seems that is all anyone can
do. Yet, Gross proposes a study that would consider how the economy functions and what it might be holding back. Gross (2005) explains that when anything is
purchased, about one third is money that has already been paid in taxes, but that really is related to hidden taxes. This is because everything is taxed so
that when an individual makes a purchase, he or she is really paying money for an item that has been taxed at the various stages of its production. By the
time it gets on a shelf, taxes are most certainly involved. The author provides several examples, demonstrating that what is paid for at a retail store contains these hidden
costs. In fact, much of the article does involve relaying information to the reader about why the consumer is paying additional taxes, but even when that occurs, the town that
houses the business is not being fairly compensated. That tax, the author explains does not go for necessary services, and it should. While it is clear that some of
these hidden costs go to taxation, and that the right venue really does not get the amount of money it deserves, the author does not stop there. He goes on
to provide a solution. He prompts an individual to look for business opportunities in town and gradually become involved. However, his step by step plan is profoundly simple. He explains
