by the student there is an assessment of this interaction. There appears to be an experiment undertaken to assess the usability of a multimedia web site. However, in looking at
the article there is a major piece of information missing. Despite an introduction that tells us about interactive websites, java and the way that web sites are used there is
no purpose given for the study and no thesis or hypothesis is presented to support the study. Therefore, when reading forward into the document there is no definition given
to the readers on what the study seeks to achieve and what value the results will have. This is a major flaw with the paper. This is a flaw that
appear to continue. There are subheadings within each sections of the paper but few indications or signposts within those sections of the structure for the paper.
The background information regarding the use of programming language and the origins of the tools that are then seen in the methodology helps to place a
context into the paper, and looks at the underlying technology. It appears the subject of the study is to assess different levels
of complexity in terms of interactive tools and which of the various tools at the three levels chosen has the highest degree of usability at a level above the normal
user. The paper also calls upon several "experts" of web design and computing to make its point on how the web is
being utilised. These source may be good with sound advice, but they do not appear to be academic sources, therefore, much of which s quoted maybe opinion rather than academic
