The article discusses the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA), which was named "Saskatchewan Business Magazine Business of the Year" in 2007. The article discusses why the magazine chose to name
SIGA for this honor, now in its sixth year; four of the six winners have been manufacturers (Moen, 2008). But SIGA has provided jobs and revenue in areas that needed
help the most, and for that reason, SIGA was chosen as Business of the Year (Moen, 2008). Moen discusses the various casinos operated by SIGA, and spends a great
deal of time talking about the "one that got away"-the city of Saskatoon refused to allow SIGA to build a casino there (Moen, 2008). He also talks at length about
the RCMP raid on White Bear Casino, which is located on White Bear First Nations land, and the bitterness created on both sides by the governments actions in sending in
the police (Moen, 2008). Apparently the bitterness lingers; the raid was 15 years ago and its still a topic of conversation. Moen explores the history of SIGA and the casinos
it built and manages, and future plans. SIGA has given First Nations people both revenue and jobs, and its clear that the magazine is proud of it and what its
done. The magazine is published by Sunrise Publishing; the association began in 1993 when Sunrise "purchased the rights to Saskatchewan Business Magazine" (Sunrise Publishing). Although the magazine was 11 years
old, it hadnt been published for the five years before Sunrise took over (Sunrise Publishing). Sunrise reinstated the magazine as a quarterly, then gradually expanded it to a bi-monthly; then
