Store, Inc. by K. Von Huben 4/2010 Please Introduction Conspicuous consumption is, according to one Edwin Jonestown, the stabilizing factor in
American life; that and technology in all its glory, which has no faults whatever. This paper is a response to Jonestowns article about Aldous Huxleys book Brave New World. Discussion
The first question that any reader has to ask is this: Is Jonestown serious? His article reads like Jonathan Swifts classic satire of the Irish famine, in which he advised
the Irish to kill their babies and eat them, thereby solving both the famine and the overpopulation problem at the same time. If Jonestown is writing a satire, hes very
