Essay / Research Paper Abstract
This 3 page report discusses Willy Loman, the main
character of Arthur Millers Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Death of
a Salesman.” Willy’s sons, Biff and Happy, are inexorably
affected by their father’s expectations. While the focus of the
play in terms of the psychological damage inflicted on biff, it
should be noted that Hap also suffered as a result of his
father’s beliefs and attitudes. However, because he is ostensibly
a “lesser” character, his own pain has also been dismissed as
less than that of Biff or Willy. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
