4 percent every year since 1995 (Internet source). Similar reports are available on the Internet from Michigan, Missouri, California, Georgia, Washington, Hawaii, and many others. In fact, the community of
St. Joseph, Missouri saw an increase of 150 percent in arson between August 1998 and August 1999, while the Americus Police Department in Georgia reported "only" a 33 percent increase
