of all time. With its young protagonists, it is also the story of potential wasted. However, the two are so very young (Romeo is 15, Juliet 14) that its tempting
to "write them off" as nothing more than troubled teens who, like most kids their age, find death glamorous and know nothing of its reality. In other words, they are
just silly children. This paper argues that viewing them in this way misses the point; it also argues that of the two Juliet is more mature than Romeo. Discussion Young
