and religious sects of the society today. The following paper presents a tutorial for arguing that, regardless of legalities and opinions, abortion is wrong. Argument Against Abortion In
working towards presenting and argument against abortion the student must first perhaps leave emotions and personal opinions out of the argument. For example, one could argue religiously, that the unborn
infant has a soul, but that is not a solid argument because there is no proof that a soul exists. That is a belief, a faith system, and as such
will immediately turn many people off in relationship to hearing the argument. There are those who will argue, again religiously, that the Bible says abortion is wrong. This is
an argument that could be used if the audience being addressed is religious or Christian. For example, one individual states, "The Lord has said, You shall not murder, (Exodus 20:13)"
(Slick, 2006). While many may argue that abortion is not murder because the fetus is not independent, cannot live without its mother, the point that could be made is that
the fetus is alive and growing and therefore taking it out of the mothers womb kills it. If it is living, then ending that life is murder. That is a
perspective of the argument that one could take in arguing against abortion. In arguing against abortion the focus can also be on how many infants who are born very
