Therefore, after outlining the current state of the problem, this proposal will propose further study options and methods, and will thereby engage in an attempt to provide clarification to
this issue. Introduction There is no question that the nature of the family in America has changed since the days
of our mothers and grandmothers, and many of those changes have brought with them a good measure of controversy. Perhaps one which sparks the most interest and staunch defense
is that of the impact on children when mothers work outside of the home. There are those who believe the children are better off since the mother is fulfilling
her own needs as well and setting an admirable example, while there are others who say children indeed suffer from this situation. Both sides site evidence and examples, statistics
and experts. Clearly this is a complex issue and one with no easy or immediate answers. There are a
plethora of circumstances and individual differences which must be taken into any final analysis. And yet, as time moves on and women become more entrenched in the workplace, there
