really care about the struggles of others and who are only concerned with getting ahead for their own benefit. They are often seen as people who only think of themselves.
In many ways this is a true condition, but then people around the world are often generally concerned with themselves and getting ahead rather than helping the poor or struggling.
With that in mind the following paper examines whether or not Americans are selfish, and then argues that Americans are generally very compassionate. Are Americans Selfish? As mentioned, people
often look at Americans as people who are wealthy and very selfish. But, one can also look around the world and see many conditions that other nations do not take
care of, conditions that speak of a selfishness and disregard for the poor as well. For example, in India there are many people, even children, who live on the streets
literally starving at times and people will walk right past them. While it may be part of their caste system the point is that the average individual does not have
any regard for the impoverished and the struggling. In fact, in the United States one would never see a child begging on the streets for the nation, and its people,
are compassionate and although they are not perfect in the handling of needy children, or needy people, they are clearly a nation that wants to improve the lives of others
and thus they are compassionate. It is true that Americans are generally people who are working hard just to get ahead themselves, and that they often waste a great
deal and appear to care little for others. But, one must also remember that the United States is a nation filled with people who are raised to be individuals, raised
