Armenia to the West, the most promising destination for Azerbaijans oil would be Turkey if Azerbaijan could gain access. Also a Muslim country, Turkey is one of the more
liberal of the Muslim regimes and actively seeks to improve its peoples living standards through business activity and business growth. The difficulty for Azerbaijan in gaining access to Turkey
is that Armenia lies directly between the two nations. Azerbaijan shares its northern border with Georgia and Russia, which also could offer some
