knows, whether or not theyve ever seen the show, Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) is the half-Vulcan first officer of the USS Enterprise, captained by the redoubtable Captain James T. Kirk
(William Shatner). The show is set in the 24th century, by which time humanity has grown beyond its need for bloodshed and become peaceful, turning its resources to the exploration
of space. It does this in concert with other members of the United Federation of Planets; one of the planets is Vulcan. Mr. Spock is the son of the Vulcan
ambassador Sarek and an Earth woman, Amanda Grayson. But of course, despite the fact that the Enterprise is purportedly a ship of exploration, rarely a week goes by that it
