functions of management have been handled. These functions are planning, organizing, leading and controlling. We will look at each individually. Planning The company has planed its development carefully,
in many cases there have been problem and the planning has had to change. By looking at the way the planning has taken place different aspects of the companies development
can be appreciated. When Apple started it was a new product, with Steve Jobs as a visionary it started out as an entrepreneurial business with a vision. The vision
was simple and idealistic, and it may be argued was copied later by Bill Gates and Microsoft. Steve Jobs, who founded Apple Computer along with Steve Wozniak on the first
of April 1976 had a mission, he wanted to bring easy to use computers to everyone. These were that days before the dominance of Microsoft and the Windows operating system
and the computer that was launched in 1978, the Apple II was one that had worked towards this goal, it was a computer that could be used straight out of
the box. The planning was more generic and guided by naivety, but it was also a style that was highly driven. This launch was successful and Apple started the grow,
with Apple becoming the market leader and by the end of 1980 more than 100,000 Apple IIs were sold. It was on the back of this success that Apple undertook
an IPO. The future may have looked brought, but Apple had not foreseen the way that the environment would change and the way they competed when IBM entered the market
