Souls Will Ask First and foremost, the book is primarily aimed at the Christian people, or the Christian audience. That is not to say that a non-believer who is interested
in looking at the life of Bonhoeffer, or using someone such as Bonhoeffer as a model for living a better life would not find the book beneficial. In essence, however,
the book is Matthews examination of this particular man in history as an icon, a role model, in modern days from a Christian perspective. The book, from the perspective
of this particular read, has many things that are valuable for any reader. For example, the student may have no real knowledge of Bonhoeffer, a man who was very human
but yet a man who also risked much of what he was and had for the benefit of others during WWII and Nazi Regime. What makes him an intriguing character,
in the eyes of this research/writer, is that he was a common man, a man who was simply a man of God until the war.
