that anxiety disorder may be linked to a disruption in the central nervous system (Rowney, Hermida and Malone, 2009). Neurotransmitter systems may be involved (Rowney, Hermida and Malone, 2009). There
are physical and emotional symptoms with any form of anxiety but the specific symptom differs among the different forms (Rowney, Hermida and Malone, 2009). In general, symptoms include sleep disturbances,
inability to concentrate, different health complaints like dizziness, shortness of breath, and weight changes are some of the common symptoms (Rowney, Hermida and Malone, 2009) but there is a list
for each type of anxiety disorder. Symptoms of Panic attacks, for example, usually include dizziness, shortness of breath, a sense of impending doom, chills or hot flushes, and chest pain
(Rowney, Hermida and Malone, 2009). Comorbidity is common with both generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks with overlapping symptoms that are both cognitive and psychological (Rowney, Hermida and Malone, 2009).
