as Leicester, in the UK, the minority is projected at becoming a majority within the next two decades. Here it is an Asian minority, however, the same may be said
in other areas. In different statements we see that problems of sociality have been blamed on racism and a lack of multiculturalism in society, leading to insular communities living
along side each other. There have been many anti racist campaign attempts in order to improve the situation. Multiculturalisms is a different, yet very similar goal. It may also be
seen as more controversial aspect, that may or may not be desired by those on both sides off the cultural divide. If we consider antiracism first them we can
expand this to multiculturalism. To understand antiracism, we need to understand racism and the causes, as it is only in dealing with the causes that anti racist measures will operate.
Racism is a social problem however it is viewed. It is the discrimination and prejudice shown to someone for no better reason
than their racial background. Racists believe that there is a difference in people due to race, with their own race being superior to that of those whom they would persecute,
and would wish to maintain this position through social order either by peaceful means, or in extreme by force. There are also more latent aspects of racism that become apparent
not though militant actions but though more passive behaviour and attitudes, such as those that may be seen as work and the way the difference cultures are treated.
