an extremely unusual property: it cures a life-threatening human illness, but only when its in the wild. Once captured, it loses this ability. This begs one question: how did anyone
ever discover this property? If the Animal only exhibits its live-saving property in its natural state, then the only logical explanation is that it somehow saved someone who was lost
in the desert. This means that it is not afraid of man, which also means that it has never met man before, or it would be terrified, given mans propensity
to kill anything he doesnt understand. But leaving aside mans natural aggressiveness, there are other problems. Somehow, we know that the Animal cures disease; well leave future researchers to delve
into the history of the discovery. We also know that once captured, this property disappears. Its immediately apparent that if we are going to use the Animal for treatment, we
have to take the victims of the illness to the Animals habitat. And then what? Hope for the best? Leave the sufferers lying in the sand in the hope that
the Animal will find them and-what? Lie on them? Nibble their ears? Spit on them? Do other less than savory things to them? We need to describe the mechanism of
cure that would occur in this scenario. That is, how precisely does the Animal cure the illness? First, its unlikely that the Animal would interact directly with humans. It
might come close the first time, but human nature being what it is, the patients would have tried to capture it, thus immediately rendering it useless. It also seems unlikely
