of the difference between analytical and descriptive writing as well as covering the topic of intelligence testing controversies. ANALYTICAL VS. DESCRIPTIVE Analytical writing is a detail-oriented method of addressing
a subject detail by detail in a purely detached yet scientific manner. Breaking down the topic into a series of small details helps the analytical writer respond with facts
rather than with emotion. This is the main difference between analytical versus descriptive writing. Analytical addresses each detail by backing it up with appropriate facts and is very
organized and unemotional in nature. Descriptive writing is a more creative and free-flow type of writing in which the topic is described in the writers own words and comments and
facts are mixed in together in a general and loosely organized manner. This is not to say that descriptive writing is less organized than analytical, but descriptive writing is
less structured and detail-oriented. Descriptive writing can sometimes be a more readable type context since it is more conversational in nature. However, descriptive writing can be every bit
