enduring years of abuse at his hands. This paper analyzes the major characters in the film and considers their social responsibility. Well look at Francine, her husband, her mother, her
children, her in-laws, her best friend, and the police. Discussion The reaction to the film itself has been largely positive; most critics are lavish in praising Farrah Fawcetts performance
