in doing this a business will never grow and succeed. Paul Cimmerer of Supervalu understands this and has apparently been spending a great deal of time and energy in further
developing the company Supervalu. The following paper analyzes Supervalu as it involves Cimmerers use of the Professional Development Program. Analysis of Supervalu and Professional Development Program
The Professional Development Program implemented by Supervalu appears to be well rounded, but also appears to be in need of refinement, as the critics corner
indicates. The program operates in a manner that appears to address many different facets of the companys operations, as it involves a recruit learning about the different modules. For example,
a trainee would be learning about the management of the operation (Supervalu), management of the people within the company, management of both internal and external relationships and management of risks
involving the workplace environment. If this plan were aimed at all employees of the company than it would likely be too much
information for the employees to adequately understand and digest. But, this is a program aimed at college graduates, people who are interested in this field of work for a profession/career.
As such it does not appear to be too complex or require too much of the individual. In addition, it appears to cover all the necessary points that the company
is involved within. However, there does not appear to be a very strong focus on customer relations, which may well be the focus of another category of employees. However, considering
that the mention of customer services is only momentary indicates that perhaps more attention should be focused on that aspect for customer service is a crucial part of any business
