corporate office spaces, and all operating expenses. J. Steven Ott (2000) wrote of non-profit organizations, "In the nonprofit sector, making money is necessary but not primary. Achieving other
ends comes first. Revenues are resources, not the end purpose" (1). A properly worded code of ethics is one that not only expresses the purpose of the organization, not
unlike a mission statement, but also provides an overview of its policy, describe its position on ethical matters that pertain to the organization as a whole, and explain in detail
its funding or revenue-generating process. America Outdoors in an example of an international, non-profit organization comprised of international outfitters that provides the public with diverse recreational services (America
Outdoors, 2002). It is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, and offers services in 40 out of the 50 United States, and approximately 60 countries worldwide (America Outdoors, 2002). Membership
