the questioning of the assistant commissioner for crime from Sydney, regarding allegations that have been made by/on ABC, with the interviewer seeking to gain conformation from the commissioner that the
quotes that ABC claim come from a police report are from that source. The style of the interview is confrontational, questioning in
a way that is demanding answers. The interviewee does not have the answers that the interviewer is demanding, who are then brining to the attention of the interviewee other media
reports. There is a focus on demanding whether or not quoted given in the media are accurate, with quotes that are supposedly coming from police documents. In this there is
no attempt to gain common ground and it is likely that subject of the questioning this is a matter of concern to the listing audience, where the interviewer is asking
the questions that they feel the audience may like answered. The ongoing questions are not able to get any additional information out of the interviewee, but the format is a
strong forum for the interviewer, where they are using information and other reports to try and gain concession from the interviewee, who will not confirm any of the quotes, despite
attempts by the interviewer to assert that he should already have the relevant reports and know if the supposed quotes are correct. There are many articles that despite the appearance
