had to offer hyperlinks allowing the user to access even more information; the site needed to explain what ADD and ADHD are; and it had to provide practical information and/or
tips for parents or teachers. Based on these criteria, the following five Web sites were selected. 1. http://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/yourchild/adhd.htm, University of Michigan Health Systems. The home page, written by Kyla Boyse,
a nurse, is a comprehensive discussion of ADHD that includes a description of what it is; what to do if you think your child has ADHD; what the schools can
do to help; the laws about special education; medications; alternative to medication; girls and ADHD (many girls are not diagnosed); numerous tips for what to do at home and for
what teachers can do in school to help the child and organizations that focus on ADD/ADHD. Furthermore, there are numerous links both within the text and along the sides, including
a direct link to home pages of organizations, such as CHADD. For example, under the heading of What Can I do to make things easier at home, there is a
link to survival tips for parents. The site also includes a list of references used, some with direct links to the page. This site was selected because it provides
