unemployed in the houses and the overall percentage of the population of a road that this makes up. Here it is assumed that the respondents are representative of the entire
road. The highest percentage level would be Harewood Road. This has a 100% unemployment record if we look at the data given. This may be skewed as only one
respondent for this road was received and this was a house were all members were unemployed. Therefore with only a single sample this may be more likely to show a
statistical error. Next in line in Elmwood Terrace, where there are two samples, and one gives all and one states many, this gives us a high level of unemployment
here. There are several other streets where small samples indicate a high level of unemployment, if they are representative. In terms of the lowest perceived unemployment Elmwood Drive is
the lowest. There are several records for this rode which are split up, bit al indicate that there are OAPs and as such this is a zero unemployment rate
indicator. The same may be said if Exley Grove, where there are no unemployed indicated. Question 2 The way that burglaries have occurred, assuming that this is the
figures for two year, of the sample of 158 households there are only 12 reported. If the same is representative and the former level was maintained, this was 10%
or one in ten every year. This would equate to 15.8 x 2 over the period and result in 31 burglaries. As there are only 14 reported we may take
this as one of two things. Either the scheme appears to be working and reducing burglaries, either stopping them, or potential moving them, or there are fewer burglaries being reported.
