restaurants. Many of the people have come from the Upper West Side of Manhattan and Park Slopes Fifth Avenue area is dominated by young people ("Park Slope: Neighborhood," 2004). It
is not unusual for Manhattan residents to move out of their pricey areas to find abodes for a bit more reasonable rent. While prices are high and reflect perhaps the
highest real estate in the country, Park Slope is still less expensive than comparable neighborhoods in Manhattan. Park Slope is essentially divided into three neighborhoods which are called the North
Slope, Center Slope and South Slope ("Brooklyn," 2004). Its boundaries are, on the North, Flatbush Avenue, and then the Prospect Expressway is the Southern boundary (2004). The West boundary
is Fourth Avenue and East is Prospect Park West (2004). In Park Slope today, the average home price is more than a half a million dollars and is only
about 1768 square feet; the average home is approximately 89 years old ("Find a Neighborhood," 2004). Almost half of the residents have a particular profile that includes a median
age of 37.3 years, half of which are single person households ("Brooklyn," 2004). Median household income is only approximately $42,200 (2004). One may surmise that because the cost of
living is relatively high, and housing is also high, that many people have their own businesses or other funds on which to live. About half of this fifty percent holds
