Internet services and cable and satellite." The largest sector in this industry continues to be wired services (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2008) but that is changing. Popular mass media
reports that more and more people are going completely wireless for their telecommunications services, such as giving up their telephone land lines in favor of cellular phone service. Most of
these services form their own sector in the total telecommunications industry. This industry touches every person and every business. Plunkett Research (2008) wrote: "no other industry touches as many technology-related
business sectors as telecommunications." There are hundreds of companies in this industry and that number seems to be growing. A change in regulations was responsible for the increasing number of
carriers who provide total packages, e.g., Internet service, television cable service, high speed Internet service. Consider the fact that all the major telephone companies offers at least Internet DSL, telephone
