1933, via Copenhagen. He actually died in Massachusetts in 1994. Eriksons early life was difficult because no matter where the family moved he was teased. Because he was tall and
blond, classmates called him Nordic, later he would be teased because he was Jewish (Boeree, 2006). Erik knew nothing about his real father. When he was three years old, his
mother married Dr. Theodor Homberger who was a pediatrician. In his early years, his parents used Homberger for Eriks last name (Boeree, 2006). Erik changed his last name to Erikson
when he gained his American citizenship. Nobody know where he came up with that name. He decided to become an artist when he left high school so he spent
