1938 - H.W. Lay & Company was founded in Atlanta by Herman W. Lay. 1961 - The Frito Company and H.W. Lay & Company merged to form Frito-Lay,
Inc. with headquarters in Texas. 1965 - PepsiCo, Inc. is founded by Donald M. Kendall, president and chief executive officer of Pepsi-Cola, and Herman W. Lay, chairman and chief
