in politics but one that has been bandied about so much that Hillary Clinton is not an exciting prospect anymore. In fact, some belive that the race between Clinton and
Obama for the Democrat nomination will be tight. Only the coming months will tell the tale of who survives 2007. In an article printed in a January 2007 issue of
the Chicago Tribune, Dorning & Parsons (2007) write about the candidacy of Barack Obama. This is a serious story as it is widely reported that this candidate who is partially
black, has captured the hearts of many Americans. It would not be the first African American to try to run for the White House, but the people believe that Obama
has a chance. The article begins as follows: " Sen. Barack Obama took an important formal step on Tuesday toward a Democratic presidential campaign that would make him the most
formidable African-American candidate ever, offering a call to common purpose as a remedy to bitter partisan divisions and marking a potential turning point in the nations race relations" (Dorning &
Parsons, 2007). The author goes on to explain that he has become a celebrity of sorts with a best-selling book and having made the talk show circuit in recent months
