relevant when searching for academic books, three have been chosen for evaluation and these are Barnes & Noble, Borders and Powells. To determine which site is most economical, a good
method is to add up the total cost of all example books and compare (See Appendices). Which price is lowest? Comparing individual prices is rather difficult as some sites
will be better than others for one particular book but may not have the lowest prices in general. Still, individual comparisons are useful too. In any event, the total cost
of the book sample at Barnes & Noble using the pricing for new books when available is $196.31 or an average of about twenty dollars per book. An equivalent figure
for Borders is $226.55 or about twenty three dollars per volume. Finally, the figure for Powells is $190.05 or approximately nineteen dollars on average for each book. Of course, it
should be noted that Powells more often than the others did not have new copies available so that figure includes some used books. Thus, Barnes & Noble appears to be
the best choice as far as money is concerned. Barnes & Noble is by far the most popular site for purchasing books. It has brick and mortar stores and
a brand name that few can rival. It may not be the best choice in terms of pricing however. The book entitled Calvins Sales Management is priced at close to
