authors of this article argue that while health theorists have recognized the significance of quality of life as a part of the carative model, it is generally a poorly defined
concept that has not been studied in an empirical manner. The authors propose the use of a systematic approach to determining a definition of quality of life in a
given health care provider population. This study, then, can be used to inform a study of public health education improvements to increase quality of life in China because it
sets the parameters for measuring quality of life through support for a specific definition. The design for this research article is non-experimental and quantitative and uses interviews of the
subject population to provide comparative data on the definition of quality of life. The sample for this study is a population of 1572 stroke professionals, who were sampled through
a response criteria. The data was collected through questionnaires following the use of in-depth interviews to set the criteria for the questionnaire. The statistical analysis, then, was the
integration of a chi-square, a paired assessment that allows for the comparison of data. The end results of the questionnaire related a large segment of the population that compared
quality of life to a term relative to happiness. This result is less measurable than the authors had hoped, and so they proposed a dual view of the nature
of quality of life in the health care environment. Specifically, the authors argued the benefits of using two different views of quality of life, one practical and one emotional,
