a mixture of individuals who are somewhat less than organized. From this simple perspective we see the importance of character and how those characters fit into the plot and the
themes. In the following paper we examine characters, plot, and theme separately. The paper then presents a discussion which illustrates how all three work together in presenting us with an
entertaining tale. Characters In summarizing the characters and illustrating how we come to feel about each one as they are presented within the story, we offer the following
analysis which defines a great deal of sentiment and importance as they relate to the characters: "The great and secret charm of TWELFTH NIGHT is the character of Viola. Much
as we like catches and cakes and ale, there is something that we like better. We have a friendship for Sir Toby; we patronise Sir Andrew; we have an understanding
with the Clown, a sneaking kindness for Maria and her rogueries; we feel a regard for Malvolio, and sympathize with his gravity, his smiles, his cross garters, his yellow stockings,
