- the good in mankind. In this day and age, it is so easy to focus on the negative aspects of human behavior. Indeed, there seems to
be so many awful things happening in this world, from terrorist acts, to child abuse, to murder, and to many other forms of death and destruction perpetrated by man.
It is often very depressing just turning on the evening news and watching just what people are capable of doing to each other. In that regard, How Can
I Help? Stories and Reflections on Service is a bright spot. This book reaffirms the essential good which resides in so many people but which often doesnt make
headlines with the same frequency as those perpetrating darkness. This book is based on the old adage, "What can I do?" which so many people ask themselves in
so many situations. We see horror and despair all around us and yet so few actually take it upon themselves to do anything about it. We sit back,
