member." For the most part this would clearly indicate that he had experience in the military field and in the field of security for the nation and was therefore not
a novice and possesses the experience and knowledge necessary for his examination and argument. In terms of what the author is trying to
do, we note that he is pointing out that our security in the United States is in great need of restructuring and that the efforts to protect the nation following
9/11 have declined and are honestly not very effective. He claims that once the initial fear and anger, on the part of the public, was over the nation neglected to
