It is an intriguing article that speaks of seeking new ways, human ways, to combat terrorism and to perhaps envision human beings as individuals who possess similar needs and desires in life. The following paper summarizes and analyzes the essay. All You Need is Love by Bruce Hoffman Hoffman speaks to a leader of sorts, a man who was once a terrorist himself and a man who was quite loyal to Arafat in relationship to conflicts between Israel and Palestine. Interestingly enough, his job was to hunt down terrorists while also acting as one it would seem. This man, the General, tells Hoffman about an organization that was necessary years back, an organization called the Black September Organization which was incredibly effective and efficient at targeting and killing those who were in the way. But, once the way was clear and no more killing was needed the problem of what to do with this organization became a real issue. It seems that the General, along with others, came up with an incredible plan that would ultimately put these men in a position where they would not want to engage in violent acts anymore, a huge task considering these men would die for any cause they were aimed at. The plan was to marry them off. "They traveled to Palestinian refugee camps, to PLO offices and associated organizations, and to the capitals of all Middle Eastern countries with large Palestinian communities" and they appealed to these women to do something for their country, which no real citizen could dismiss (Hoffman, 2001).
