2. PEST Analysis 2.1 Political Influences The airline industry is one that is highly regulated both nationally and internationally. One approach to reduce risk and to create a unified

security in civil aviation so that the industry can develop on the basis of equality and opportunity. This is an international agreement between member nations that sets out the agreement
to abide by these standards, making international travel easier. There is also increasing labels of globalisation and a gradual overcoming of the fears of travel that have been created
by the terrorist attacks of the 11th of September 2001 and the subsequent terror alerts, such as those in London in August 2006. The increasingly good relationship and the globalisation
may be seen as major influences on the increased traffic of Air Canada to the Pacific area where there have been constant increases every quarter since the first quarter of
