for their track "Pink" (Hay 104). Aerosmith first appeared on the rock scene in 1973 with their album "Aerosmith." The band has been a staple of American music ever since,
releasing 20 albums over their over 25-year-career. Aerosmith consists of singer Steven Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer (Rosen 42). Their
music and innovative style continue to lead the rock scene and their longevity is truly unusual in todays music industry. Why their career has lasted A rock band is simply
not supposed to last 25 years. For one thing, and theyve all heard this periodically over those 25 years, rock is supposedly "dead." However, rather then "coming back," Aerosmith guitarists
