Similarly, most societies (at least those which do not adhere to a principle of common property) view theft as a moral outrage. Additionally, crimes against children are regarded as especially heinous. These are all examples of actions for which the question of appropriateness is never even brought up; they are so innately repulsive to the majority of humans that classifying them as "evil" or "criminal" seems to require little thought or analysis. Nevertheless, some practices which fall into this category of the innately repulsive might not be quite as horrible as they seem, once viewed through an appropriately analytical lens which divorces the topic from existing pre-conceptions and emotions. For instance, cannibalism is a practice vilified by nearly all people on the grounds that it violates the sanctity of life, is unnatural, or goes against some theological or moral prescription, and yet there seems to be little support for the practice as being innately against the tenets of any extent moral system. This paragraph helps the student introduce his or her views on cannibalism. Cannibalism on the whole is seen as a barbarous practice with no place in the context of modern civilization. Nevertheless, an examination of the most common points of argument against cannibalism finds many of them to be lacking. For instance, while all instances of cannibalism tend to be shunned, it can be argued that in certain geo-social contexts, cannibalism serves a viable and practical purpose related to basic survival or fulfillment of cultural norms.
