the expectation of finding some level of compromised personality, values and/or manner due to perceived expectations of virtual behavior. This study employed qualitative methodology. II. PARTICIPANTS Respondents
included one hundred thirty randomly chosen high school students between the ages of 14 and 17 from three different school districts. Thirty-seven percent were female; 63 percent male; 36
percent white; 24 percent African-American; 17 percent Asian; 12 percent Hispanic; and 11 percent other. The socioeconomic value was reflected in the location of each school with two being
in urban areas and one in a more affluent community. Computer experience was equal across the respondent population in order to provide for a common baseline. III. PROCEDURE
This research attempted to uncover the way in which extensive Internet interaction can have a questionable impact over adolescent personality, values and
manner. In gathering this information, several methods were utilized to assure a broad and comprehensive collection of data. Because this topic is relatively new, it has not had
