where Tyler performs in the youth praise band, he plays guitar. Tyler is about 511" tall and weighs about 135 pounds. Tyler lives with both parents and is the older
of two children, he has a 13-year-old sister. Tyler dressed differently in the two settings. At school, he was wearing jeans and a screened T-shirt with athletic shoes. At church,
he had on a pair of dark Dockers and a short-sleeved shirt. The sneakers looked like the same ones he had on at school. Tylers height and weight are
within norms. Average height for White 15-year-old boys is between 53" and 6 with the 50th percentile at about 510" (Halls and Hanson, 2008). Average weight ranges between 102 pounds
and 210 pounds but the 50th percentile is around 150 pounds (Halls and Hanson, 2008). Physiologically, Tyler falls within ranges and is very close to the 50th percentile. During
the classroom observation, Tyler seemed to have trouble paying attention. He continually made comments to his girlfriend, in fact, they engaged in a very brief verbal interaction that lasted just
under a minute when the teacher focused her eyes on them. He also turned around to make a comment to the boy behind him. The incident was so brief that
the teacher did not see it. This is interesting because Tyler achieves As and Bs in all this classes. This particular class was World History and the teacher was talking
about justice versus injustice in terms of war. It may have been that Tyler was just not feeling well or that the lecture was too long before any discussion
took place. In fact, the teacher lectured for ten minutes before asking questions for class discussion. That may be too long for some teens. It may have been due to
