The orientation of the University of Delaware towards the environment fits perfectly with my own outlook, as I am very involved with pursing sustainable solutions to the environmental problems that
face the planet. In my home I recycle as a routine measure, but I have also participated within my community on campaigns to promote recycling. For example, I participated in
a program that collected out-dated phone books for recycling, rather than adding these huge books to the local landfills. As a student at the University of Delaware, I plan to
